Call Time On Violent Crime

Wrexham is a safer place to party this Christmas, thanks to a partnership between taxi companies, club door staff, town centre wardens and the Community Partnership who work closely with the North Wales Police.
This was the message being broadcast at a launch event in Wrexham today (8/12/08), held at Liquid night club in Brook Street, and attended by the partner agencies and the police. The event was entitled "Call Time on Violent Crime", and amongst the guests were Landlords from some of Wrexham's drinking establishments, and an official from the government Home Office.
Wrexham FM was there as well, and Roy Norry spoke to Liquid General Manager David Mc Carrow, Yates General Manager Lorna Mc Carrow, Tim Nunn from the Home Office, Rhian Jones the Community Safety Officer who organised the event, Wayne from the North Wales Fire Service, Ceredig Evans the Environmental Enforcement Officer for Wrexham County Borough Council, and we hear from Inspector Chris Beasley, Inspector Alex Goss and Inspector Paul Firth of the North Wales Police.
